Provision for parents on psychiatric inpatient units (POPI) – Online Questionnaire
What is the study about?
A short online questionnaire for parents who have experienced mental health hospitalisation, carers the children of a hospitalised parent and healthcare staff to better understand the experiences of family visits.
We are specifically interested in how we can improve the experience of these visits for parents and their children.
What is involved in taking part?
Taking part involves an online interview which is adapted to the experiences and age of participants. Before that we meet with you to answer any questions you may have.
- Read the Participant Information Sheet and anonymously consent to taking part in the study
- Complete 10-15 minute anonymous questionnaire
Who can participate?
- Parents (of a child 18 or under) and you are currently staying on a mental health inpatient unit or have stayed on one at some point since July 2021.
- Carer of child whose parent has been in mental health hospital).
- Healthcare professionals who worked in an adult mental health inpatient unit in the last two years for a minimum of six months.
